If you already have one of them and planning to buy another then you must be wondering about their compatibility, right?

Well, if you don’t know then let me tell you Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 run on the Wear OS smartwatch operating system. And Wear OS is developed by none other than Google itself.

So, yes, Samsung Watches work with Google Pixel smartphones. Even the Samsung watches prior to Galaxy Watch 4 are compatible with Pixel phones. Therefore, if you have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 or Active 2 and planning to buy the Google Pixel then also you don’t have to worry. However, there is one thing that you need to know. Google Pixel phones work with Samsung Galaxy watches, however you will not be able to use Galaxy watches to their full potential.

There are some features on Galaxy watches that only work when the watch is connected to a Samsung smartphone. And if you are planning to use a Galaxy watch with a Pixel phone then you will not be able to do the following things:

  • Samsung Pay: You will not be able to use Samsung Pay on your Galaxy watch if you connect it to Google Pixel.
  • ECG Monitoring: Samsung Galaxy watches are on the list of smartwatches that can monitor ECG. However, this feature only works if the watch is connected to a Samsung smartphone.
  • Camera Control: Samsung Galaxy watches let you control your cell phone’s camera from your wrist. But you will not be able to use this feature as it will not work with Pixel phones.
  • BP Monitoring: Yes, Samsung Galaxy watches are one of the very few smartwatches that can measure blood pressure. However, this feature only works with Samsung smartphones.

However, I don’t think any of those features can become a deal breaker. Therefore you should definitely buy a Samsung Galaxy watch with your Pixel smartphone.
