If you have purchased a new Amazfit watch and are having issues pairing it with your phone then this article is for you. In this article, I am going to tell you how you can set up and connect your Amazfit watch to an Android smartphone as well as to an iPhone. The setting up and connecting process is the same for almost all Amazfit watches. Therefore this method should work on Amazfit GTS, GTR, T-Rex, Stratos, Bip, etc.

Note: The watch that I am using to demonstrate all the steps in this article is Amazfit GTR 3.

How To Set Up Amazfit Watch?

Amazfit watches are compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones. And an Amazfit watch can only be set up after connecting it to a smartphone. To connect it to your smartphone you first have to download and install the Zepp app on your cell phone. Zepp app is available on both Play Store and App Store, links of which are given below:

After downloading and installing the Zepp app you will be asked to create an account.

How To Connect Amazfit To Android Or iPhone

After creating the account, log in using your credentials. Once logged in you will be asked some basic details like nickname, age, weight, height, daily goals, etc. Fill in these details and then follow the below-mentioned process.

How To Connect Amazfit Watch To An Android Mobile Phone or An iPhone?

Step 1: Open the Zepp app on your smartphone.How To Set up Amazfit Watch

Step 2: On the Android smartphone, click on the Profile tab available at the bottom right corner. iOS users go to Step 4.

Step 3: Click on the Add Device button.

Step 4: Select Watch among other wearable devices.

Step 5: You can pair the watch using a QR code and without a QR code. Choose one option and continue with the following steps.

Step 6: Press and hold the button or the upper button in case your watch has two buttons to turn on the watch.

Step 7: Select the preferred language on the watch.

Step 8: Point the smartphone at the QR code displayed on the watch screen. In case you have chosen to pair the watch without a QR code then skip this step and go to the next step.

Step 9: Select the Amazfit watch on the screen. If you have chosen to scan the QR code then skip this step.

Step 10: Accept the binding request on the watch by clicking on the tick mark.

What To Do If Your Amazfit Gets Stuck During Setup Or Pairing?

In case your Amazfit watch gets stuck during the setup or is not able to pair with your smartphone then follow the below steps:

Step 2: Force close the Zepp app on your smartphone.

Step 3: Follow the above-mentioned steps to connect the Amazfit watch to a smartphone.
